Holly… It’s so unbelievable the patriotic aspect of *becoming* an American Although I somehow *understand* it, it goes a little bit too far (the little flag they hand you out, for example). I love the slow-mo iPhone camera pic. The mimicked pinch of an aperture on an LED is the flashbulb of the 21st century. Also, that the “I’m proud to be an American” song is used in official government communication to immigrants. I hate that song.
